“Why are you not able to bring out results?” My boss asked me one day. “Despite coming early to the office and leaving late at night, nothing has been delivered from your side”, he added. I questioned the same to myself, where are my efforts going wrong? Even after 11 to 12 hours of working, why am I not able to deliver desired results.
When the same thing kept happening for 4 consecutive months, it was alarming. The situation was still not better even after consulting with a doctor & a psychiatrist. Finally, after going for Holistic Healing, I discovered that all this was happening because of Anxiety.
Like everyone else, I also thought of anxiety to be common among people but when treated, I realized it is more than just an 8-letter word, it is something that has the power to change our lives, completely.
Following are the things that helped me come out of anxiety & lead a positive life:
- Keep note of your sadness!
What’s important is to know when you are sad. This can be done by being alert about things which take you into that zone & keeping a note of it. Self-awareness is the key step of the healing process.
- Record minor details too!
As soon as you have started recognizing the signs, try to filter them more. Make a note of things that have a direct impact on your personal or professional life & try avoiding stuff that happens, but doesn’t impact your mood. Once this is done, share these with someone who makes you feel comfortable, maybe a friend, cousin, or someone close & try digging out solutions for the same.
- Dress up & show up!
Don’t let the feelings of fear, sadness or anxiety take control of your life. There may be times when you don’t want to face the world or talk to anyone, you should still push yourself to meet your friends, go to your workplace, keep yourself busy but don’t give up to this monster. The key is not to ignore what you would be doing if these feelings didn’t come your way.
- Meditation is the key!
Meditation is a natural medicine without a price. Sit in an idle corner at your place for 10 minutes & meditate daily. This will help boost your immune system, improve your level of self-acceptance, help in your relationships and let you focus on whatever you do.
- Eat healthy!
Eating healthy food is a good habit. It not only balances your physical health but also improves your mental health. Consult a dietician for a healthy diet plan according to your age group & lifestyle.
These are the basics for your way out of anxiety & can be implemented immediately in your daily lives.
